Fort Collins vacancies buck state's trend, an article from The Coloradoan, reports that Fort Collins is faring better than the rest of the state, according to a recent report on apartment vacancy rates. During the fourth quarter of 2008, vacancy rates across Fort Collins were 4.2%, and lower around the CSU campus. A vacancy rate of 5% is considered an even market. Average rents ranged from $683 in northeast Fort Collins to $826 in the southwest. Big potential for ConocoPhillips site, an article from The Rocky Mountain News, reports that on Thursday, several experts said the 432-campus in Louisville purchased by ConocoPhillips could be rezoned to easily handle 10,000 or more people. Tom Clark, executive vice president of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp., said if you do the math the land easily supports well in excess of 10,000 on the site.
