I've never really gotten my head around the idea that the content distribution network that we are building is "just another form of Web 2.0 social networking". Recent articles by Pat Kitano and Lola Andu have really helped me to get a conceptual handle around my feeling that, while there are similarities...there are indeed differences as well.

Previous comments on my blog post about real estate video by Jeff Turner and Lenn Harley really got me thinking about defining what the minimum presentation bar would be for properties and how various online tools would fit into a conceptual model. Local blogging is all the rage right now. Many real estate bloggers are beginning to maintain separate blogs for each local area (even down the street area).
But would it be possible to make any real estate blog transform itself into a local blog when needed?
Here are some basic assumptions:
- local blogs are generally found through web searches
- it's the organization of related content that makes local blogs "local"
- Today's blogs have blog posts that are organized chronologically and not by content relevance
