Here are some examples of two photos that we created for a recent listing. The home had a lot of glass, so creating effective marketing images was important to really show off the home. The first photo in each series shows the exposed image using flashes to properly expose the interior. The second photo shows an HDR-processed image. In the first series, this was a non photo, and in the second one, it was a flash photo (you can see the flare in the window which I had to remove). encinitas real estate: Anyone headed to San Diego for the NAR Conference? - 11/02/09 08:08 PM
The NAR conference is in San Diego next week, and we thought we would touch base to see if anyone from the photography group was headed out here. My husband John and I live about 25 minutes north of downtown San Diego, and we plan to attend.
John said he was willing to demo his pole camera rig or other camera setup if anyone had an interest.
Let us know if you're coming! We'd be glad to meet up with some of the other people interested in photography (HDR, pole/aerial, etc.) or marketing.

I apologize for our absence of late. I thought I would share some our newest marketing images because they show how we've changed our photographic work. In the past, we took multiple exposures of a room and John blended those images in photoshop to achieve a blended image. We have now moved to an approach where we combine non-HDR/strobe photography with high dynamic range photography. We like this a lot for a few reasons:

encinitas real estate: New Listing - Encinitas - Village Creek - 01/21/08 12:25 PM
Here's our newest listing that comes on the MLS later today. The home is located at 506 Hillock Place, Encinitas. The neighborhood is a great one - we know it well because we live in the neighborhood (about 400 yards from the home).
How about that kitchen! Here's the rest of the brochure....
I really liked the photo of the family room...it's very light and bright. The master bedroom is huge! The kitchen was both expanded and remodeled.

Here's another test photo. I had been struggling with taking a good photo of this home for a week. The trees in front of the home proved to be obstructions that were to be dealt with only by avoiding them. So I knocked on the neighbor's door and got permission to take photos from the neighbor's yard. Here's the high dynamic range photo that I was able to assemble. Much better than the pool shot from yesterday....I'm beginning to understand the tools on the Photomatix software (which I purchased today with the Photoshop plug-in for a $119).
