The NAR conference is in San Diego next week, and we thought we would touch base to see if anyone from the photography group was headed out here. My husband John and I live about 25 minutes north of downtown San Diego, and we plan to attend.
John said he was willing to demo his pole camera rig or other camera setup if anyone had an interest.
Let us know if you're coming! We'd be glad to meet up with some of the other people interested in photography (HDR, pole/aerial, etc.) or marketing.

Over the past month, I've had a few people ask about what we do with video, so I decided to post our home tour DVD page. The links below are not DVD-quality video; they are the video that we shoot and burn on the DVDs, but reduced to web-streaming quality (which is significantly reduced). Please note: These tours are only 10-15 minutes long, but our entire DVD is actually about 2 hours because we put a lot of video marketing/training on the disc.

John was over at some rental units taking some photos, so I asked him to take a couple of pictures of our camera rig that we have. Specifically, I asked him to show the umbrella stand set-up with the camera and flash on a cord. So, here's the picture that he took.
As you can see, the 5D is tipped over and John is taking pictures of the bedroom from the doorway. The umbrella stand is parked right behind it with two Vivitar flashes shooting through the translucent umbrella. This umbrella disburses the light really well so that you don't have hot spots. … (7 comments)

We had a bunch of paint at our house, and we decided to finally get rid of it. We knew there were hazardous waste drop-off locations for electronics, but we weren't sure about disposing of liquids.
To our very pleasant surprise, we found out about Clean Harbors. (Phone: 1-800-444-4244) They have signed agreements with Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar, Solana Beach, and San Marcos (I think). Just call the number, and they will come pick it up.
