American Homes - An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Domestic Architecture by Lester Walker is a wonderful reference for all styles of homes in America.  Included in the book are layouts - elevation plans and detailed drawings.  A glossary of terms which is cross referenced to the house style adds to its interest.
The sequence of drawings helps explain how houses have evolved. 
This is a wonderful book for Realtors and for Stagers.  Understanding how a particular client's home has evolved helps us understand how the home works.  It gives us a greater understanding of the property.  I have used this book in my career … (1 comments)

Inventory - Take care of your employees! - 04/09/07 10:17 AM
I love having Staging inventory and props for my business because it really creates income for me!  It is working for me 24/7/365!  How good is that!   
It is almost like an employee!  Because it is an "employee" it needs health insurance and check ups at the Doctor's office! 
This weekend some key pieces were returned - they were not damaged - but did have a few dents.  Things get worn and that is OK.    How to fix them?  Really very easy - and this is done before I wrap them for storage or send them off to a new Staging Project.  I attend … (37 comments)
