We have all heard the expression feed them and they will come. I'm wondering what others think if this is necessary to get agents to view their properties on caravan day. In the area that I work, we have been feeding agents or a long time, and it makes know difference on what the market conditions are.  Our MLS/Claw even has a submission for refreshments. Sat & Sun, Sept 6-7, 6am, Surfrider Beach, is Malibu Surf Association Classic. MSA Classic has become one of seven, top tier contests hosted by California surfing clubs comprising the Coalition of Surfing Clubs annual circuit. There will be more than 250 competing surfers, hour long, free surf celebruty event with Jason Mraz, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Sal Masekela  (EXPN) and Peter DiStefano (Porno for Pyros), award presentations and more. Aug 29th - Sept 1st come to Malibu for the 27th Annual Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off and Carnival. Enjoy live music, food, beverages, arts and crafts The fun begins on Friday with the kick off of the carnival, while Saturday and Sunday heats up with Chili cooking and judging as well as the carnival.  Hours Friday 5-10pm, Sat-Mon 11am - 10pm, location is the Malibu Civic Center. The good news is that the phones in the office are ringing and buyers are out there looking, either to buy or lease. It seems everyone is really eager for your help. You spend time searching and even showing them properties then they disappear. You call and email, but they don't get back to you. You wonder what did I do wrong, we really seem to hit it off. They either disappear or you later find out that they are calling every broker and out looking with other agents. Any tips other then getting them to sign a buyers contract.

Sunday August 24th the Safety Harbor Kids presents the Malibu Picnic and Concert by the Sea. Safety Harbor Kids invites friends and family to enjoy a old fashioned picnic while helping orphans and homeless children. Location at the Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265. Picnic is from 11am to 4pm. Concert is from 4pm to 8pm. Malibu has more multi million dollar listing then ever. Just in the last few weeks three homes came on the market in the multi million dollar range. Topping the list at the highest list price is, the "Crown" of Carbon Beach, also known as "Billion Dollar Beach" was listed with WEA for $65,000,000.

I know everyone will agree with me when I say that we are in a tough market. It is extremely difficult to stay focused and positive when we are being faced with the gloom and doom of the housing market. Everyday we are reminded by the media and our clients about market conditions and that it's not going to get any better. Enough about all the negative!!!
