first time home buyer: There're Ways To Deal With The Stress - 09/05/10 01:33 AM
It's the end of Summer and still feels super hot to me. I don't know about you but I tend to get a little more stressed when I'm hot. And I have also noticed that people in general have less patience and have a higher level of stress during those times. Now, pair that with driving every weekend looking for a home in this current housing market. If you're a buyer and have been searching for that perfect home, most likely you're dealing with all the "fun" that comes with foreclosures and short sales. The housing market will be the housing

first time home buyer: ROUND THREE FOR TAX CREDIT??? THEY'RE TALKING... - 08/30/10 01:43 PM
Here we go for the third time...Is this really happening again? Sunday, in an interview with CNN, Shaun Donovan, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, stated that President Obama has not yet decided if the home buyer tax credit should be brought back again to help stabilize the housing market. Let’s face it. It’s getting more and more important for real estate agents to fully understand their clients’ mortgage approvals in order to save time, headache and help the purchase process go as smooth as possible. I know...this is the Mortgage Consultant job but I can assure you that if your real estate agent understands some very important basics, you’ll be much happier at the end. With the ongoing changes on underwriting guidelines and everything that goes right along with it, such as disclosure procedures, lenders overlays and new appraisal regulations, just to mention a few, lack of understanding could translate

first time home buyer: And the incentives keeep coming....Now appliances - 02/02/10 09:43 AM
Fannie Mae wants to give you some money... I'm telling you...I wish I was a first time buyer all over again! Don't take me wrong...I love my home and we're very happy here. But the thought of having a seller pay for my appliances and some of my closing costs as an incentive for me to buy a house is very tempting. It certainly wasn't this way when I bought mine. Houses weren't this low in price and my rate was 8.5% even with outstanding Fico scores and 20% down payement. Homes are as affortable as ever, rates are super
