Eight Clydesdales climbed out of the three Budweiser trucks. The Clydesdales travel with two drivers and a Dalmatian. (Plus the truck drivers and gear)

Scammers Or Legitimate Buyers? - 10/23/10 11:37 PM
Scammers often contact real estate agents saying they want to buy properties. What they don''t realize is that there are multiple forums to check names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and even the content of previously written letters and emails.
How do we know if you are a scammer or a legitimate buyer? Well, first we check you out. But, beyond that, you can't just tell me you want to buy a property - you have to be qualified. Scammers can't qualify.
Not all emails that sound like scammers are scammers. There are legitimate buyers who contact me via email … (41 comments)

Kansas City Missouri Police Department Open House - 10/20/10 10:39 PM
Last weekend the Kansas City MO Police Department (KCMOPD) held an open house for the public to come out and see what they do.
Officers were on hand from their helicopter, bomb disposal squad, canine patrol, equine patrol and CSI department.
What I noticed most was the police officers themselves. They were all friendly and sooo enthusiastic about their individual jobs within the department. The helicopter pilot said "I have the best job in the world." The horseback rider said "I have the best job in the world."

All 50 State Attorneys General Investigate Mortgage Loan Servicers - 10/17/10 02:08 AM
State Attorneys General in all 50 states signed a joint statement to work together to determine whether or not mortgage loan servicers properly submitted documents in the foreclosure process. The improper documentation is being called 'robo-signing'.
What is 'robo-signing'? This is the term that has been given to the banks' representatives signing documents without having personal knowledge of the facts related to the document. These documents and affidavits were also NOT signed in the presence of a Notary Public, as required by law.
The results of the inquiry will determine what steps will be taken next.

The Meyer Fountain in Kansas City MO is located in the middle of Ward Parkway Blvd, south of the Country Club Plaza. Meyer Fountain was erected in 1924 as JC Nichols was developing the Plaza Shopping District and the residential areas to the south of the Plaza.
Ward Parkway Boulevard has 3 lanes in each direction. Keep in mind that this roadway was built when most people did not own a car.

Kansas City Real Estate Market October 2010 - 10/11/10 10:33 AM
Like the rest of the country, Kansas City is waiting to see what the investigations into some major banks foreclosure practices will show. Hundreds, if not thousands, of listings in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area have been pulled off the market pending the results of these investigations. The initial effect on the Kansas City Real Estate Market is a decrease in inventory lsited on our Heartland MLS.
For some sellers, the action is a reprieve giving them more time to find a way to keep their homes. For others, the suspension of foreclosure activity means that they will not be able … (3 comments)

What Does TheBanks' Halt on Foreclosures Mean For You? - 10/08/10 09:25 PM
The recent halt on foreclosures by many of the large lending institutions has caused quite a stir in the news media but what does the suspension of foreclosure activity mean as far as real estate transactions in Missouri and Kansas?
I was notified by email that the following banks are stopping all foreclosure proceedings in Missouri and Kansas: Bank of America, Chase, Countrywide, GMAC and JP Morgan. These banks are under investigation by the State Attorney General. PNC Financial may also be halting or suspending foreclosure proceedings.
Why are they stopping, suspending or putting on hold the foreclosure proceedings? There may … (11 comments)

The Old NE Kansas City was once home to many doctors and other prominent citizens. There are many inviting homes to appreciate in this area.
The Old NE was 'country' in the 1800's. When Dr. Tiffany built his castle in the Old NE section of Kansas City, the houses (and roads) now surrounding the home were not yet in existence.
By the 1920's, Kansas City was growing and more homes were being built in the sparser areas of town. By the 1930' and 40's, Kansas City needed even more housing so the farmlands and woodlands were developed around houses that … (5 comments)
