The Sunset Hill neighborhood is bordered by Loose Park, The Plaza, and Ward Parkway. There  are numerous architecturally and historically significant homes in this desirable area of Kansas City. In additon to the winding, hilly, tree lined streets, many homes have a view of the Plaza while others face Loose Park.
14 homes sold in Sunset Hill during 2011. The smallest home, a 2 bedroom 3 and 1/2 bath, sold for $305,000. The highest price paid for a home in Sunset Hill last year was $1,650,000.

Sunset Hill, just south of the Country Club Plaza, has been the home to many prominent Kansas Citians since the early 1900's. Here are some recent statistics:
 

Active Listings: 19 homes in Sunset Hill are FOR SALE today.
SOLD: 6 homes have sold in this subdivision between January and June of 2009.
Pending: 5 homes have Contracts that are Pending now.
Back Ups: 2 homes have Contracts Pending but are accepting Back Up Offers.

sunset hill: Kansas City Real Estate First Quarter Comparison 2008 & 2009 - 04/27/09 12:09 AM
March of 2009 as compared to March of 2008: Currently, we have 18,553 active listings in Heartland MLS.  We have oscillated between 17,000 and 22,000 over the last year.The average sales price in March was  $150,788, last March it was $167,790.  That is down 10%.There were 2287 Pending contracts this March; 2879 last March.There were 2105 Closed sales this March;  2490 last March. ~same same. 5,106 total sales in the 1st Quarter of 2009  and 
6,411 total sales in the 1st Quarter of 2008. Down 20%.
