Wordless (not) Wednesday on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina - 08/18/10 12:32 PM
This is a picture of my three grandsons, Jackson and his brother Tyler, and cousin Tanner on Jackson's seventh birthday. Who would ever have imagined three little boys mesmerized by a game (WII) in the house instead of outside on a beautiful sunny day, throwing or kicking a ball around? This is the new technological world. Grandpa says he's worried that they'll all become pale and "bug-eyed" before long. Be careful, parents, to balance that tech time with plenty of reading, interacting and outdoor fun.

Living on an island, we have so many things to do, and so many ways to spend money. this walk was just minutes from the pool, ocean, sound, tennis courts and even the bumper boats and miniature golf. Via J. Philip Faranda (J. Philip LLC) Westchester County NY: Chances are that if you are selling a home that has been on the market any length of time, you've had your share of showings. If you haven't sold yet, you might wonder what all those people who passed on your home eventually bought. I've got news for you: a huge percentage of them aren't buying anything anytime soon. They are working with an agent, they may be pre approved, but they might be a months or a year away from actually acting. How can this be? Right now, the buying (3 comments)

Via Amy Hahn, REALTOR, Crystal Coast, NC (Pine Knoll Shores Realty): The Ruddy Duck Tavern in Morehead City, North Carolina
The Ruddy Duck Tavern in Morehead City, North Carolina is a fabulous restaurant located on the Morehead City Waterfront. The staff is awesome, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the views are gorgeous, the prices are very reasonable and the food is "To Die For". They proudly serve Local Seafood and there are plenty of options for those who do not eat seafood. I highly recommend the "Carolina Burger" or Fried Shrimp (or both), followed by a slice of Key Lime (0 comments)

"You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room." — Dr. Seuss
I enjoy the classroom learning situation. I like the comraderie of other students trying to learn things along with me. I like having a teacher to question and watch to see how he/she does the thing I'm trying to learn. So I'm constantly attending classes, seminars and training sessions, but Dr. Seuss definitely knows his "stuff". When it comes down to it, I have to do it. That's where the real learning happens.
