Summer, baseball and other musings - 08/29/09 07:58 PM
Tis' the last rose of summer--but not in Texas.  The heat has been unbelievable.  Today, however held a great surprise.  My husband and I were taking a walk in the Sam Houston National Forest which is so close to our home in this gorgeous part of Texas, and the strangest thing happened. 
Not a pack of wild hogs, or a scary copperhead, or even a family of very spooked possums--all encountered on oone of our walks, but different stories.  Today in the heat of August, we came to a point in the trail that a breeze swept over us that I … (3 comments)
