walden: Can You Think a of a Great Way to Beat the Heat? - 06/14/09 06:26 PM
Yes,
I live in Texas.  I have now for almost 9 years.  Still trying to figure out more ways to enjoy the outdoors in the Summer in Texas heat.

So, Can You Think of a Great Way to enjoy the great outdoors and Beat the Heat?

Here are a few things I have thought of.
--Mister--Gotta have a Mister
--Lemonade (or the "adult" version)
--Doing outdoor activities in the morning
--Porch ceiling fans
......and all the ideas I hope to get from you!

Does Your Garden relax you like it relaxes me?

Wow.  Here I am on a Saturday night listening to Andrea Bocelli and looking out on my garden.  I am such a geek, but I love it.  It is so peaceful. The colors...the greens, the purples and the reds.  So gorgeous.  My Passion Vines are really taking off and are creating a beautiful natural arbor from one trellis to the next on some fishing line that I strung to allow the vines to travel to the neighboring trellises.

And, today, I splurged.  I bought a $54 mister.  I still can't believe I did it.  But I … (5 comments)

AORTA Headline: Higher Numbers on Calendars found to Contribute to Stress
These findings have just been released from the "Association of Realtors Trying Adlibs" AORTA:
Increasing numeric figures in the Calendar stream headlong into higher levels of fear and anxiety that mount toward an increase in frenzied activity leading toward something called "closings."  The problem begins as the calendar numbers climb toward 28-29-30 and sometimes even 31.  Doctors are still trying to determine why these "closings" appear more toward the end of a month, but have linked such activities to these higher stress levels.

As these Realtors attempt to keep the … (1 comments)

Going Green in a Semi down I-45
So, coming in to my office today, I witnessed one of the many available visual ironies.  A semi hauling-

you guessed it-yet another trailr (pups) with the logo "Go Green!"  Hmmm.  Kind of made me think of several things, besides the obvious irony.  For one, the new House Hunters episode last night (I love that show) was about a woman in Oregon looking to live in a kind of Green Commune.
The concept is smaller living areas with the basics and a large main house where communal dinners are shared and fresh organic … (0 comments)

What my husband will and will not allow me to do
By: Mari Zuvich Montgomery
Life is great when you have freedom. Freedom to speak, freedom to act, freedom to try new things.  I just went through a drive through to pick up some lunch, and a soldier in service to our great country crossed the parking lot.  I instinctively opened my window and shouted, "Thanks for your service to us," to which he responded by turning around to acknowledge, then removed his cap, smiled broadly tipped his head and said, "your welcome, mam."

What I Love About Being a Realtor
A surprise by its very definition is unexpected.  And often, the unexpected joys in life are the ones that keep us doing what we do.  I have had the pleasure in the past week to help two families with 5 children (yes, each) to find a home they all love.  What I didn't expect was to find the joy of connecting with the children that I have missed so much since leaving teaching.  I taught voice and choirs for 25 years, and today I had the opportunity to teach a voice lesson beside a … (15 comments)

Foreclosures and Fish Tacos......What do they have in common......Hmmmmmmm

Okay, maybe too easy, but let's look anyway.
Both available in many different varieties
The quality of both are judged on the shell's various levels of permeating moisture The response to offers??   Definitely"Flounder." Both are available in "Crappie." The "Gar" variety has good "bones," but no meat The "Perch" variety depends on elevation Both are easily digested if not the "raw" variety The "Dogfish" variety...not EVEN going to go there  And Lastly...
Both are great if consumed right away...but if they sit around long enough, either starts to ......(You guessed it)  STINK

walden: Power of gratitude--Fact or Crap?? - 01/06/09 10:00 PM
Power of Gratitude--Is it Bull Hockey, Real or like Hockey the sport--irrelevant??  What do you think?

This is all about you....the realtors who encourage, help, survive to be a role model another day.  Thanks for reading this post.  We can't survive without each other.
Danke schön! to ActiveRain.  There with information.  I looked up topics like the best cell phone for Realtors even before I was licensed so that I would be ready to rock.
I have heard that "gratitude" is the most powerful sentiment, even more powerful than love.  I believe it, because without gratitude, there can exist no love, because … (2 comments)

walden: Orange Crocs and Christmas - 12/21/08 09:23 PM
Well, what do Orange Crocs and Christmas have in common?  The best Christmas present ever and a great reason to get them.
Can we show property in orange crocs?  Is there a rule with NAR that "orange crocs" are unacceptable footwear for the 21st century Realtor?  I say, comfort should be King Reptile and Orange Crocs Rule!  Mario Batali (He's my hero) would be proud-here I sit a blogging away, enjoying my footwear, working my Real Estate leads and wondering if I really could have been the "Next Food Network Star."
Happy Holidays and may your feet be happy!!!!!!!

What's So Great About East Texas???
Lake Conroe Real Estate
Huntsville TX Real Estate
Lake Livingston Real Estate
This is one of the most beautiful areas in the state.  And, as everyone knows, TX is the most beautiful state in the country.
The Huntsville/Lake Conroe area in East Texas is located just one hour north of Houston. We are surrounded by lush green piney woods, the Sam Houston National Forest, and State Parks. The greater Huntsville area, Lake Livingston and Lake Conroe offer peace, great home prices, solid value and steady appreciation.

Take a walk on a gorgeous National Park … (0 comments)
