marin county: Recovery: Marin County Condo/Townhomes - 01/09/09 12:47 PM
Are we nearing the bottom for condos and townhomes in Marin County? One sector of our real estate market here in Marin has begun to stand out, condominiums and townhomes. In my previous blogs, I have presented the raw statistics of units sold and price changes over the last year or two. Now I've taken that analysis to the next step - and below you will find sales data for the last 15 years. You can clearly see the market correction over the last couple of years. More than that, though, I've plotted a baseline 5% appreciation line as a comparison

The media is bombarding us with economic information these days. marin county: The Tour of California in Marin - 02/20/07 12:04 AM
Olema, California - February 19, 2007, West Marin in February - beautiful weather, nature springing from winter, and cyclists - lots of cyclists! Today the Tour of California - Stage 2 - peddled through Marin in what could only be called magnificent weather. My family and I set up watch at Olema, Ca - about a 20-minute drive from my hometown of Lagunitas, CA - at around 11:30am and waited for the racers to pass. Olema is a cool town that is most famous for being the epicenter of the infamous 1908 San Francisco earthquake. I couldn't help but take in the local color
