I just sold this 4 bedroom Joseph Eichler built home located in Terra Linda (San Rafael California).I represented the sellers of 25 Bolanos Road, San Rafael CA and the sale price was $730,000.
In addition to this recent sale, I've also recently sold two other Eichler homes, one in Terra Linda and one in Lucas Valley. I also have three other Eichler listings right now, 2 of which are currently in contract.

If you are looking for Open Houses in Marin County, you might want to take a look at our live "online' edition (see Marin Open Houses) since this weekend's Marin Independent Journal Open House section featured a significant number of mistakes.
Apparently the Marin Independent Journal (aka "Marin IJ") J is switching over to a new computer system and in the process there were a number of properties which were incorrectly listed.     That said, if you are reading the paper and see a $2 million plus listing in Mill Valley for the bargain price of $450k, its safe to say that there was probably a mistake!

As we welcome in 2009, I wanted to provide a quick update on the market in Marin County California for mid-century modern Eichler homes this past year.
In 2008, there were a total of 43 single-family Eichler homes sold in Marin County and San Francisco. Two Eichler homes were sold in the Diamond Heights neighborhood of San Francisco while 41 Eichler homes were sold in the Marin town of San Rafael. There were no single-family Eichler homes listed or sold in either San Anselmo or Mill Valley in 2008.

Although solar water heating systems aren’t cheap, they are about to become more financially attractive to Californians.  Last Friday Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation that promises $250 million in rebates for solar water heaters, launching the nation’s largest solar water heating program.  Now, this is exciting news, and in this case we have to hope that the rest of the nation will follow in our footsteps!Most Californians heat water using natural gas.
