There is a realtor (with a team) in our community that has all of his seller's not wanting to look at offers on Sundays. We say bring them to us, our clients are ready to deal.
We understand that buyers often need to do business on weekends when they are not working. The key here is they have a job and they are working during the week.

In July 2006 the average sales price of an acreage in the area surrounding Calgary has increased by $200,000. In July 2006 the average acreage price was $648,714. July 2007 shows an average price of $842,563. A lot of acreage owners must have decided the price is right as there are currently 720 acreages for sale compared to 403 last year.
More listings, fewer sales. July 2007 had only 63 sales compared to 86 last year. Perhaps acreages have seen their major price increases until the inventory gets absorbed.

There are currently 107 listings for sale in Chestermere. In the past 14 days 15 have sold, another 6 are conditionally sold, 3 were cancelled or terminated and five expired. During this period there were 23 new listings. So 28 went off of the market and 23 were added. There we 20 price changes in this time period. So it is not a seller's market but it is still a healthy market, but of course things must be priced right or they will not sell.
