While I'm admittedly biased, because I am an Internet marketing consultant as well as a real estate coach, I just couldn't believe what I was reading when I saw this article today.  It's from nearly a year ago and it just made my blood boil.  It’s in The Telegraph and it’s by someone named Milo Yiannopoulos who proudly shows that he just doesn’t get it.
While there are some insightful arguments made, I could not believe the rash and juvenile expressions (he calls social media consultants “blood sucking hucksters” among other colourful adjectives) this supposed professional used in burning the concept of social media … (0 comments)

social network: Fear - The Main Roadblock in Social Media Marketing - 01/20/11 02:34 PM

3 and a half years ago I taught that if you strip away all the hype and technological jargon, technology is simply bringing business back (ironically?) to the humanity of what business is supposed to be in the first place...people helping people.
I still teach that to this day, because with each new technological advance communication is becoming both more immediate and more personal.  This can be good or bad depending on your personality type and how you handle yourself.
Regardless of what anyone tells you, never forget that social media is what you make it.  You have complete control.
