Sales of single-family, re-sale home rose year-over-year for the second month in a row. The 236 homes sold represent a 16.3% increase from last February. The median price for single-family, re-sale homes in Monterey County was down 5.9% year-over-year. The average price declined 0.4%. SALES MOMENTUM...while still negative, continued trending upwards last month, gaining 5 percentage points to -28%.Our momentum stats are calculated using a 12-month moving average to eliminate seasonality. Here is a shot I took of the famous Lone Cypress Tree in Pebble Beach. It was a beautiful evening with a great sunset and the surf was pretty active. What a beautiful subject to take photos of. I took over 200 photos that evening of the Cypress and finally the light failed me and it was time to pack it in. If you have been to Pebble Beach, you have certainly seen the Lone Cypress. If you haven't been here, here is a little piece of the beautiful Monterey Peninsula that will hopefully entice you to make the trip. (9 comments)
