The median price for single-family, re-sale homes in Monterey County was down 5.9% year-over-year. The average price declined 0.4%.

It's now legal to rent your house to short-term vacationers in Pacific Grove.
Wednesday, the City Council unanimously approved an ordinance regulating such rentals by establishing a registration, inspection and licensing procedure and requiring landlords to pay the city's 10 percent hotel room tax.
