Bonners Ferry Rotary Recipient of Nice Thank you from WaCanId Ride
Those of you who follow me know of my involvement with both Rotary and WaCanId International Selkirk Loop yearly Bicycle Ride.  Yesterday I was quite proud to present Bonners Ferry Rotary a $1,700 check for their part in making this years ride yet another success.
With eight clubs participating around the 371 mile route of the International Selkirk Loop, the WaCanId was successful in raising over $11,000.00.  With 20 riders already having already signed up for the September event we are looking forward to our most successful year in 2017.

Bonners Ferry Rotary at Boundary County Fair 2014
With the onset of winter in full swing I can not help but look back on this past year's events that I was a part of in one fashion or another.  This particular function is one of my favorites even though the money raised is nominal at best. Bonners Ferry Rotary at Boundary County Fair 2014   is for the enjoyment of the kids...no matter their age.

Cleaning, upkeep, general maintenance.  They added park benches as well as picnic tables at the point that offers the most beautiful views of the Kootenai River, valley, and Old Bonners Ferry.  They also put the Bonners Ferry welcome sign in for visitors and locals alike as they head south to Sandpoint and beyond thru Bonners Ferry.  This walk is but … (4 comments)

rotary: Sandpoint Rotary's annual "Chafe 150" sets records for 2014 ride - 07/19/14 06:45 AM
Sandpoint, Idaho.  So much to do.  Think you are in good shape?  How bout the trying out the 'Chafe 150' bicycle ride next year.  Yes the '150' is for miles on this single day ride!  Starting in Sandpoint the ride moves north to Hwy 2 then east into Montana.  Up and around and back down to Clark River.  Finishing the loop with Hope, Idaho and back into Sandpoint.  Needless to say this ride is packed with incredible views and sites.   With Troy Montana being the lowest city in Montana elevation changes are abundant.
The best turnout since the inception … (4 comments)
