Learn the secrets and dominate Google to increase sales and expand your client base – Very effective, low cost and no-cost business marketing and advertising

Southfield, MI – Internet marketing strategies are being used by many small business owners who cannot afford to pay high-cost advertising services.  This will be one of the key topics discussed at the Small Business Expo, an 8 hour seminar taking place in Southfield on November 21, 2009.  This is a free event and it is open to the public.

According to Mark Maupin, an internet marketing expert in Detroit, the internet is the most effective place to advertise your business or service.  “Not only does it reach more people, it also reaches those who are searching for you,” said Maupin.  “When someone Google searches “plumbing repairs Detroit,” if you are a plumber in Detroit, you would want your service to show up at the top of the first page of their search results.”

The internet marketing techniques that Mark Maupin teaches have been used by hundreds of businesses, including small businesses, national franchisors and gurus.  “We Own the Market in Dryer Vent Cleaning Searches –We are # 1; “This stuff makes my phone ring 24 hours a day. In 20 Days I am 7 out of 10 results.”  Dayn Benson, franchise consultant for Dryer Vent Wizard.

The Small Business Expo in Detroit is hosted by Mark Maupin, founder of National Real Estate Network, and sponsored by MyMortgageAuditor.com, a company who provides forensic loan audits and mortgage modification services to assist borrowers in Southeast Michigan.

The 8 hour seminar takes place at the Embassy Suites Hotel at 28100 Franklin Rd; Southfield, MI  48034; Saturday, November 21; from 9am to 5pm.  The event is free to attend; but seating is limited, so reserve your seat in advance.  Leave a message at 313-659-8654 or visit http://8hourseminar.com/ where you can fill out and submit a form.

Saint Petersburg’s reliable appliance repair man, Lance Kimball, at Appliance Repair Specialists has a few tips to beat the manufacturers’ shrinking warrantees.

Appliance Repair Specialists have been a permanent fixture on West Kennedy Blvd since 1998.  Lance Kimball offered advice to his customers that may take some of the anxiety away from the appliance manufactures’ latest blow.  Lance suggests that big-ticket appliances be purchased with a credit card that offers product insurance.

In late 2005, appliance manufacturer including Frigidaire, General Electric, Maytag, and Whirlpool shortened their warranties on refrigerators, ranges, washers, and other major appliances from two or three years to only one year, and it appears they have no intention of reestablishing the longer coverage.  And, as far as their appliance extended warranties are concerned, they will also be adjusted.

One-year appliance warranties become the norm.

Shorter warranties went into effect Nov. 1, 2005, for Whirlpool, Roper, Estate, and Inglis brands, and on Jan. 1, 2006, for General Electric, Hotpoint, Americana, Maytag, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Frigidaire, White Westinghouse, Tappan, Gibson, and Kelvinator.

Pricier brands, such as KitchenAid, Jenn-Air and Electrolux, still offer longer warranties on some appliances and their parts. Viking offers a one-year warranty but doubles it if a Viking-certified installer does the work according to Consumer Reports.

In fact, all of the major manufacturers are looking at the data from their pricier competitors.  If the numbers are going in the right direction, shorter warrantees may stimulate business for their GE Appliance repairs, their Whirlpool repair men and women; and, it may even bring the Maytag repair man out of retirement.

A typical warranty from an appliance manufacturer now covers parts and service for only one year from purchase.  If a part breaks after that, you pay. Before the warranties got whacked down, pricey parts-refrigerator compressors and dishwasher tubs, for instance-were usually covered for 5 to 10 years. To get longer coverage today, you'll have to buy a separate appliance extended warranty, which will cost about $100 to $200 for three years.

Some appliance companies insisted that the changes did nothing more than make warranties simpler. One company spokesperson told us that consumers would benefit from this warranty change by having simplified terms and improved product quality and after-sales care. You're probably as confused as we are, but one thing is clear: consumers are getting less coverage for the same price.

Our Service Technicians are certified in all of these categories:  small appliance repair, gas appliance repair, garbage disposal repair, electric dryer repair, washer and dryer repair.  Please call me, Lance Kimball, at 813-288-1900.

The National Real Estate Investors Association to Work Aggressively Against Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act

Atop the National REIA’s goal list for 2010 will be the development of state wide legislative associations in every state; to develop and fund a federal lobbying program; and, to become a clearinghouse for national legislative issues impacting on the real estate industry.

National REIA's mission is to develop, support and promote local real estate investor clubs while serving the interests of the real estate investment industry through networking, education, leadership on legislative issues, and promoting professionalism and standards of excellence in our industry.

A perfect example of the how the National REIA can play a role in protecting the industry’s interests was the monitoring and direct input their legislative delegation had this past summer in Washington, D.C.  The National REIA delegation’s mission was to stop HR Bill 1728 (The Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act).

The National REIA’s delegation met with congressional and senatorial members on key committees working on HR 1728, a bill with specific language in Section 101 (3)(e) that would devastate the real estate investing industry.

From the reports and feedback gained from those meeting, the National REIA took action to broadcast those reports in its Newsletter and website.  The call to action in those reports gave members direction and a course of action which included contacts with their local congressmen and women.

April 21, 2010 Is The Third Annual National REIA Day On The Hill

Their work towards stopping HR 1728 continues into 2010.  The National REIA will organize its third annual, two-day mass demonstration in Washington, D.C. on April 21 and 22.

NREIA’s AGENDA WHILE IN WASHINGTON D.C.:

Meet face to face with representatives and to educate them on the    importance of real estate investing to the nation’s economy.

Hear first-hand updates from Washington insiders about the current state of politics and why it is imperative to be involved, NOW more than ever.

Learn the key issues facing real estate investors and how to conduct    effective meetings with your local, state, and national representatives.

Explore legislative trends around the nation as you network with other real estate investors from all over the country.
