Wishful Thinking - 08/31/11 02:49 PM
After a crazy week full of earthquakes and hurricanes, power outages and clean up I am wishing for a quiet evening by the water watching the sun go down. Nothing more than good friends, a drink in hand, calm winds and no weather drama. Oh... and no real estate drama either. Ha! I can wish can't I?

Annapolis Waterfront Market Report for July 2011 - 08/24/11 05:22 PM
Annapolis Waterfront Market Report- July 2011 Annapolis is surrounded by water and offers a huge expanse of waterfront living opportunities. From shallow wetlands to deep water and everything in between waterfront living in Annapolis is a huge part of living the Annapolis lifestyle.Waterfront home sales went down slightly in July with 4 less homes sold than the previous month. Compared to July of 2010 there were 2 less homes sold. Sale prices are fluctuating mostly due to waterfront homes being unique to themselves. One large sale of $3 million or more can send the numbers askew. That is actually what happened

Market News On The Annapolis Homefront - 08/24/11 04:43 PM
As an Annapolis Area Real Estate Agent I often hear people talking about the woes they hear on the national news broadcast stations. National debt crisis, housing sales have slumped, unempolyment is high. You can hear the stress in their voices, the fear of doing anything but hanging tight and hoping they wake up one day and it is all different. Well it is different here in the Baltimore region of which Annapolis is part of. That is why I am glad they talk to me. Though I am not one to sugar coat just to make someone feel better and want

Rockin and Rollin of This Kind is NOT My Idea of Fun - 08/23/11 08:36 PM
I was out showing property today when I felt MY earth shake. My car was stopped in a cul de sac waiting on my client and talking on the phone when the caller said...'It's an earthquake; gotta run. I hung up the phone and felt my car move back and forth like someone was on the outside rockin it with all their might. Then I saw people running out of their homes shaking and scared just like me. It lasted for what seemed like an eternity but it was probably really about 15 seconds. Still shaking when my client showed up I excitedly

Pay It Forward- On a Rainy Afternoon - 08/21/11 09:19 PM
We have been experiencing some ferocious afternoon thunderstorms. There was even noise of a possible tornado near by with todays storms. Not good for sure. Right before one of these storms this past I decided to run into the grocery store to pick up a few things I really needed. I grabbed an umbrella just in case and its a good thing as I did not quite beat the storm. As I was heading out the door another shopper with a small child was comptemplating getting to her car as the child was fussy. So I offered to follow her holding

Pay It Forward...Remember When You Were New??? Comments Meant The World To You - 08/11/11 09:00 PM
As usual there is a ton of talk on the Rain about making comments. Some say we should answer each and every comment made on one of our posts and others say we should go to the commenters posts and leave one there. AND.... some say we should do both!! Yikes!! But alas we all do whatever we can whenever we can and somedays we are better at it than other days. And I would guess we all have those we always seem to follow and comment on alot. Those we have come to think of as our friends. But guess what I learned

Consumer Noise From An Open House - 08/08/11 11:14 AM
Consumer Noise From An Open House Yesterday (Sunday) I held an open house in Crofton. It was a hot, humid day with a threat of a thunderstorm (which held out till after the open). The home was beautiful, well staged and in a great neighborhood. All the must haves for a great open house. This open drew 10 couples/families through its doors. As they each explored the property inside and out this is the noise I was hearing. 1- I've been looking for awhile- Many of the buyers have been on the sidelines 'just looking' for quite awhile. For reasons as varied as

Pay It Forward... Next In Line - 08/06/11 08:12 PM
We have been experiencing some rather heavy storms around my neck of the woods lately. Heavy rain, loud thunder and cloud to ground lightning. During one storm a tree was struck in my yard not 200 yards from the house which is where I was. Thank goodness none of these storms have knocked out electricity to my home but it has in other areas. After one storm I headed to the grocery store for my weekly shopping and along the way noticed a traffic light was out. Cars were backed up trying to get onto the main throughfare I was on and evidently no
