realtor: ATTN: Agents and Broker's in Ohio. Important, please read this post! - 10/14/11 10:52 AM
Realtors and Brokers in Ohio. Our company, Home Experts Realty, receives several leads/referrals on a daily basis for people looking to buy a home or acreage in Ohio and we simply cannot keep up with the demand. We currently do not have any agents residing in the southern areas of Ohio and it is quite tasking trying to accommodate all of the showing requests, etc. We REALLY need to find a few good agents who'd be interested in receiving and working said leads. A lot of them are already pre-approved buyers and we get requests for listing agents as well. Please

realtor: Discounted homes and avoiding paying too much - 05/29/11 01:05 PM
I read a similar post and wanted to share my thoughts. I've been working with buyers for years who are wanting to buy a foreclosed home and save themselves some money. There isn't anything wrong with the concept, but you might want to listen to me (or your Realtor) when it comes time for writing the offer. The bank and government owned homes are already being offered at steep discounts. Why would you want to try to low-ball them and get the price down several thousand dollars further? Yes, that works in some cases, but when you find a hot property

realtor: More helpful information when buying a home - 05/21/11 07:08 AM
Buying a home, one of the biggest decisions one can make in life. I'm a Realtor and Co-owner of a brokerage. In review of all the comments in this thread, they all have value to what they are saying. Owning a home is not right for everyone, and it's buying when the time is right for you, add to that, buying the home that is right for you. Here's some things to consider. Work with a Realtor? Absolutely, but (and this is a big "But", no pun intended) Choose your realtor wisely. There a good agents out there, but many bad

realtor: Useful information when buying a home! - 05/21/11 07:05 AM
Here are 10 other tips for buyers, and for yet more information, visit our website: http://www.HomeExpertsRealty.net. I sincerely hope this helps. Don't buy if you can't stay put. If you can't commit to remaining in one place for at least a few years, then owning is probably not for you, at least not yet. With the transaction costs of buying and selling a home, you may end up losing money if you sell any sooner - even in a rising market. When prices are falling, it's an even worse proposition. Start by shoring up your credit. Since you most likely will

realtor: Ground Floor Opportunity for Ohio Realtors!!! - 04/28/11 12:25 PM
Our lead generation campaign has already exceeded over 300,000 interested buyers! (we work with people with credit scores of 500 and up and help them achieve their home ownership goals)! We are opening up our territory to 22 counties in SW Ohio for now, but eventually will be nationwide! The former President and VP of a National brokerage left the company and launched Home Experts Realty on Friday, April 15th. We are now an "agent centric" type of company. They built their former company to over a dozen offices in a few short years with over 400 agents. Pat and Clyde are determined to outdo their successes!

realtor: Donald Trump for President? - 04/18/11 08:37 AM
Hello colleagues. I don't normally get involved with politics but with the looming presidential elections, I have a question and am curious how others feel about it. IF Donald Trump would become President, do you think that would be a boost for the real estate industry or a hindrance? Again, I'm not trying to stir up a political debate, it's merely a question. Obviously, the more support our industry can obtain, the better for everyone! Have a great day!

realtor: I'm worried... - 04/17/11 09:36 PM
We are contacting over 4 million buyers on 4/19 and we don't have enough agents to handle the huge influx of calls and emails we are anticipating. I've always made it a point to contact a lead within a few minutes of their contacting me and there's just not enough of me to go around this time. LOL. If you can help, we'd truly appreciate it! However, we are keeping the leads in house, mainly for accountability. If you'd like to help us out, please let me know ASAP! Home Experts Realty is offering some of the highest commission payouts in

realtor: HUD's new earnest money requirements....I NEED your HELP!!! - 11/23/10 12:52 PM
Am I the only agent who is very highly upset about HUD's new earnest money policy? I think NOT. I've been pleading with anyone who will listen at HUD and have even asked NAR to intervene. Here's my complaint. First of all, I show and sell a LOT of HUD owned homes all over the map in SW Ohio. When I show a HUD owned home to a client, they typically do not know for sure whether or not they intend on bidding on the home until after they've viewed it. IF they decide to write an offer, we fill out

realtor: Something unusual from me here... - 11/30/09 06:30 AM
I just noticed MORE of the ads that we agents are blown away with on a constant basis about advertising ourselves. I can honestly tell you from lots of experience, be VERY careful where and whom you place your hard earning marketing dollars with. Over the years I have spent over $25,000 dollars on the numerous websites, lead generators, shopping carts, phone books and the list goes on and on. Take it from a broke Realtor. Save your money! Go out and socialize and meet and great the people. Use your sphere of influence to help you obtain that next client.

realtor: OHFA - 10/13/08 12:40 PM
Well, here we go again. OHFA, better know as Ohio Housing Finance Agency which was formed 25 years ago to enable first time home buyers in the state of Ohio an opportunity to purchase their first home. It was announced this morning that the program for the DPA is being suspended. I keep thinking that there will be some GOOD news announced about our chances of survival as Realtors, but the negative news just keeps pouring in. Hang on to your hats ladies and gentlemen, the lousy ride isn't anywhere near over yet!

realtor: Very affordable marketing idea... - 09/26/07 09:04 AM
With today's marketing dollars being squeezed by the "less than awesome income" that we've enjoyed in the past, we have to find ways to market ourselves at a lower cost. The most cost effective one that I've come up with is magazines! Yes, magazines. Especially the FREE ones offered by using your airline miles. I've subscribed to a lot different ones. I place a "personalized" label on them letting the reader know that I placed them in the doctor's offices, lounges, hair salons etc. for their enjoyment at my expense. I also remind them that when they are searching for a Realtor, I'd love to be
