Tough decisions ahead for parents and teachers on education - 05/14/10 06:12 PM
My daughter Isobella will begin kindergarten sometime this year.  We are so excited to begin “big girl school” as we graduate preschool on the 25th of this month. I have so much respect for teachers. 
Quite honestly, teachers are facing the most stressful time right now as they await news of their employment status for the 2010-2011 school year.  There are proposed budget cuts to K-12 education at both the state and local levels. 
Education leaders at every level agree that any additional reductions in funding for public education will translate to more teacher layoffs, increased class sizes, fewer … (3 comments)
