Photographing Lorikeets at Lowery Park Zoo in Tampa Florida - 05/28/11 09:12 AM
This photo was taken at Lowery Park Zoo in Tampa Florida last summer while I was visiting my sister. We really enjoyed this very special place.
I’ve always had a desire to take a photography class and yet have never made the time. I use a Nikon D5000 camera when taking photos of my listings and I enjoy photographing flowers in bloom and animals aside from real estate.
This is a pair of lorikeets. They are members of the parrot family. I love their vibrant colors and this photograph. I don’t know if there kissing or feeding each other? … (8 comments)

I stumbled across this photo tonight after having a conversation with an agent that I have much respect for and who happens to be my competition.
We’re both passionate about proving outstanding customer service. We’re both energetic, have high ethical standards, and believe in surrounding ourselves with positive people. We’re self motivated, we advertise, blog, make videos, communicate effectively with our clients and we’re friends who can hold each other accountable.

Multiple offers - A Sellers Dream, A Buyers Nightmare! - 05/21/11 03:10 PM
Hendersonville North Carolina is currently a buyers market. It seams that for every home we sell, two more list the same day. Many of our sellers will wait on average 190 days from listing their home till when it sells. (They are the lucky ones)
So imagine my surprise when I fine THE HOME for my buyer the day it’s listed. It offers everything on the wants and needs list and is priced $10K under taxed assed value and it’s not a foreclosure. Before staging this one-level townhome located just 1.3 miles from Historic Downtown Hendersonville felt cold and vacant. Vacant properties scream “desperate to sell!” since the owner has moved out. The publication offers pet owners information on Dog Parks, Hiking, and Daycare, Boarding/Kennels Lodging, Shopping, Emergency Veterinarian locations and posts lost pet and event notices on line.

Black Swan at Greenville Zoo - 05/11/11 07:36 PM
An interesting fact about the Black Swan is they mate for life. Both partners share in building their nest and raise some chicks every year. The chicks are grey when they hatch and adult swans can weigh up to 20lbs. with a wingspan of 6 feet! They have a recorded speed of 50 miles per hour.
There are approximately a half million black swans in the world. That’s pretty amazing considering they were once hunted in Europe for their color. They were feared to be bad luck. Good thing Australia, their native home, wasn’t superstitious.

Tuesday's Treaesure: A peak at my garden - 05/11/11 12:22 AM
I Love this time of year! It's not to hot, not to cold and when I take my dog out for a walk, I pass by these lovely plantings in my back yard. I'm so blessed!
The first picture is of a Peony and the second is of an Iris. Both are prennials which means to appear again and again. These are hardy plants that are practically low maintenance. Thank you for taking the time to take a peak at my garden.

Sycamore Flats Pisgah National Forest NC – My Mother’s Day Pick - 05/07/11 10:17 AM
There are many places to celebrate a Mother’s Day meal. I for one don’t care to wait 30-45 minutes in a long restaurant line for a table only to have to shout at one another just so you can hear what someone is saying. Sound familiar?
So, I called Ken’s parents and requested that we try something different for Mother’s Day. How about a picnic lunch at Sycamore Flats in Pisgah National Forest? I confess I was clearly not the only one with this idea. We arrived at the first picnic area of the Forest only to find it full.

Friends of DuPont forest would like to announce the upcoming Tour de Falls, a 12 mile tour by shuttle to four of DuPont State Forest’s breathtaking waterfalls.
The tour will take place on Saturday May 7th and Sunday May 8th and will include Triple Falls (photo above), High Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Lake Julia.
A $10 per person donation by cash or check is requested. The parking lot for the tour is located at 1300 Staton Road in Cedar Mountain, NC.
