New Years Eve was a beautiful warm day in HendersonvilleNorth Carolina.  We decided to head to the park to take advantage of this rare gift curtsy of Mother Nature. 
My daughter loved throwing and catching the Frisbee!  I wish I could have captured a clearer picture of the expression on her face.  I still love this picture despite its imperfections.

Taking advantage of a snow day - 01/03/12 10:59 PM
Last night as I was writing out my “to do list” for the day I glanced outside to see snow flakes falling to the ground.  I hadn’t factored the snow into my goals for the day, and for a brief moment, I thought – I could just stay home and work twice as hard the next day. 
I woke this morning to the sound of my six year old dancing around the house because school was canceled and there was a light dusting of snow on the ground.  Don’t you just love the way fresh snow makes everything glisten?

Benjamin Franklin’s quote: “Lost time is never found again” is a powerful reminder to sellers that time is critical.
 ·        The best opportunity to reach a buyers attention is within the first 30 days a home is on the market. 
·        The number of showings is greatest during this time if it is priced at a realistic market value.
·        Starting too high and dropping the price later misses the excitement and fails to generate strong activity. 
·        Many homes that start too high end up selling below market value.

There’s a myth that buyers only purchase in the spring - and some sellers are missing ready, willing and able buyers.  Statistics show home inquiries skyrocket in January.  Serious buyers are shopping and buying now.
