Northwest Idiana Sales Statistics:

Check this out.  I am so tired of listening to the mainstream media doom and gloom regarding real estate, that I decided to go back to 2005 and look at the "declining" real estate market here in Northwest Indiana...Porter County.  Read on....

January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005:

Homes sold............2389
Average sq.ft.........1873
Average sold price...$183,388

January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006:

Homes sold.........2255
Average sq.ft.......1884
Average sold price..$187,256

January 1, 2007 to July 31, 2007

Homes sold........939 (7 months sold inventory)
Average.sq.ft......1859
Average sold price..$205,425

HELLO MAIN STREAM MEDIA!!!  It looks like we have sold slightly fewer homes, here in Porter County, Indiana..... but IT LOOKS TO ME THAT THE PRICES HAVE INCREASED!!!! 

Tomorrow, I will look at LaPorte County and report those statistics to you.

Activerain REFERRALS really, really works!!!

If anyone out there wonders if the Active Rain Referral search really works....read on.

Yesterday, July 30, I placed a referral request for a listing agent for 2 properties in Margate, Florida.  Within 3 minutes I had 3 phone calls, and within 1 hour I had 30 emails.  WOW!!!  I had previously sent emails to several realtors with no response sadly, but the Active Rain response was overwhelming and quick!

We have lived in numerous areas throughout the midwest and my sphere reaches far and wide.  I normally have $750,000 to $1million in referrals out at any given time, and hereafter, Active Rain will be my primary resource.

Thank you to all the Margate realtors who contacted me so promptly.  You all sound wonderful with the same message of wanting to help people.  If I can ever be of help up here in Northwest Indiana, call on me.
