lubbock: Auction at Lubbock County Courthouse Gazebo - 11/11/11 01:40 PM
Who knew that in addition to real estate one could purchase judgments and account receivables at auction! Yesterday there was an auction and a lone participant bid $30,001.00 and won almost $3 million dollars in account receivables and judgments tied to swindler Benny Judah. So for the 30K investment the bidder has a potential for a tremendous return IF he/she can collect. The court apparently collected over 15K from these accounts. The bidder may have a good lawyer on retainer who will go halves with him on collections and a big tough guy enforcer. In the newspaper there was posted a list of numerous Lubbock, Shallowater,

lubbock: Home Auctions in Lubbock! - 08/13/11 06:11 PM
So far Auctions for Homes in Lubbock have been few and far between. It is fascinating to follow some of the homes up for auction in other parts of the state. I did drive out south of town a few months ago and saw an amazing country home that was being auctioned. This particular Lubbock County home appeared to have been abandoned for some time and needed a lot of work. But the potential was incredible! I registered myself and my buyer clients and we were anxious as the bidding began. During the bidding some of the details of the property changed,

lubbock: Rained in Lubbock! Home Hunt Begins! - 08/12/11 11:47 PM
Praise the Lord that it rained in Lubbock yesterday. We had no appreciable/measurable rain since last October. Bad news is the rain came in pretty fast and our ground was so hard...lots of run off and some street flooding. Still, needed the rain mucho. Beginning a house hunt for myself and hubby! Downsizing from 2800 sq feet with almost 2 acres, large pool, huge workshop located in Ransom Canyon to a house in Lubbock. My wish list. (now I am the picky buyer) 2/2/2 or 3/2/2 (if 2/2/2 would need an office or studio or 2nd living) 1750 sq ft - 2200

lubbock: Country home near Lubbock - 10/06/10 09:43 AM
For those who aren't from around here, Lubbock, TX is on the high plains of Texas and our economy is agricultural based. Of course we also have Texas Tech University and the best hospitals in this area of the state. Most Lubbock homes don't actually have cows grazing in the front yard and we don't have dusty streets and saloons either. What we do have is a great economy and lots of wonderful homes for sale in all price ranges. If you are from out of state or elsewhere in Texas and looking for a new place to call

lubbock: September Update - Lubbock Homes for Sale - 09/20/10 11:47 PM
I have had a great few weeks with lots of business and some fun travel too. I have been to Phoenix, Vegas and Austin. But like Dorothy says, there is no place like home. The Lubbock real estate market is still very stable but has shifted to a buyer's market. This means that buyers have more to choose from, while sellers are likely making more concessions to get their homes sold. All in all it is a super time to buy a home in Lubbock. I just did a search of our Multiple Listing Service and wow! I show 1536 homes

I just looked and found 41 homes listed for sale in the Lubbock neighborhood of Tech Terrace. These Lubbock homes range in price from $79,900 to $879,000. Tech Terrace if a popular Lubbock neighborhood for a couple of reasons...or more. It is a short and sweet commute for people employed at or going to school at Texas Tech. Many who live in the neighborhood just walk or bike to school and work. The neighborhood also has a unique appeal and

The time has come, the time is now, to buy a home, just do it now! I believe this message, presented in less Seuss-y prose, has gotten the attention of folks in Lubbock and the surrounding communities. Many are aware of the fast approaching April 30th tax credit deadline and are making up for lost time. If you know of anyone who wants to buy a Lubbock home soon, who is not yet actively looking and getting pre-qualified, have them call me asap. With interest rates low, a great variety of homes on the market in Lubbock, and an end in sight on the
