Ah, Leawood KS…one of the most desirable suburbs to live in within the Kansas City metro area. Why? An excellent public school system, a mix of older and newer homes, plenty of parks and tree-lined streets, and easy access to the best nationally know retailers, restaurants and other services. The city government is well run and the population is relatively affluent. If you are thinking of a move to (or from) Leawood, here are some recent single family home sales statistics for reference: In January/February 2012, there were 46 closed sales in Leawood. The average list price was $403,535, and (1 comments)

Yesterday as I was driving around looking at Prairie Village homes for sale, I noticed there was an accident at the intersection of 71sth St and State Line Road. A stoplight had been knocked over; police were at the scene and a four way stop had been set up for traffic control . It was about 12:30pm when I drove by.
I drive through this intersection at least twice a day…usually three or four times. Although this is a fairly busy intersection, it is surrounded by residential housing and is a two lane road. It’s one of those odd (0 comments)
Can You Show Us Some Homes Tomorrow? - 03/05/12 08:04 AM
During the busy spring buying season, I usually get a call like this a few times a month. It’s inevitable that someone will call and ask to see several houses...’tomorrow’. I don’t think many buyers realize that most agents juggle several clients at once, and try to have a personal life as well! So if you are a buyer during this busy spring buying season, keep these points in mind when you want to tour homes on the weekends:1.Give your agent as much notice as you can. If you want to see homes on Saturday afternoon, call your agent on Monday or (7 comments)
I blog about...my neighborhood, the Brookside area of Kansas City. Specifically I live in the Armour Hills subdivision. Sometimes I write about local politics, homes for sale, clients I work with... often I write about general real estate topics I think people want to read about. I try to keep the entries short, simple, and to the point! And I welcome your feedback.
