North Cascade Highway Late to Open Provides Seattle Tacoma Everett Spring Vacation Opportunities - 03/28/11 01:56 PM
The North Cascades Highway, State Route 20, is going to open extradinarily late this year, to the dissappointment of many valley residents.  The local Methow Valley News reports that perhaps this will be the latest opeing in 20 years.  After 24 winters in Methow Valley, I can  not recall moisture falling from the sky and filling up buckets the way it has this March..  It is no wonder there is a huge concern about avalanche danger, and thus the delayed opening is for safety reasons.  I myself am excited about this special Methow Valley Spring 2011 we will get to enjoy.

Methow Valley The Rain Keeps Coming, Considering Acquiring Rain Gear? - 03/26/11 11:45 AM
I never thought I would consider getting additional rain gear for Methow Valley, but this seems to be the rainiest spring I have seen in two decades in Winthop, Washington.  It is interesting that I am getting reports the coast is very sunny. Have the weather gods gotten confused about which part of the state is supposed to be a high desert steppe and which region is touted as a temperate rain forest?
If this keeps up many residents in Methow Valley may need to consider high tech rain gear.

Warmer Temperatures are coming and with them is the primo time to get out on that mountain or road bike for the 2011 Methow Valley Bike season.
So what is new in cycle technology.
