Can You Guess The Average Mortage Interest Rate on a 30 Year Fixed Mortgage for the last 20 years?

This may surprise you. We're not talking about the double digit 1980's, just going back to 1991, yes that's 20 years, how time flies...

The average interest rate for a 30 year fixed mortgage going back 20 years was 7.44%.
This is good to know and will help you as a buyer determine what things would look like for you if you wait to purchase a home after the 30 year fixed mortgage interest rate has moved.
