golf: Beware of Hazards - 04/11/10 10:34 AM
Took this photo while playing some golf during my Flordia vacation. The orange stake signified a lateral water hazard. After carting over for my ball; I determined it was better to take the penalty rather than trying to hit that ball. I may have had to take a stoke but I got the shot.

golf: Ladies Golf Christmas Party - 12/13/08 05:30 PM
Along with cold weather, there is no surer sign that the holidays are here... than holiday parties. We have already had the neighborhood party, which was a progressive party going from house to house. This week there will be several others to attend.
So far, my favorite is the ladies golf party. Lucky for all of us golfing ladies, the clubhouse is a great place to host a party! The annual event consists of a potluck dish to pass and a gift to give. It has been hosted at member's homes, but the clubhouse is nicer with the mess being … (2 comments)

These 3 cheerful shoppers make up my usual Thursday foursome at the Viroqua Hills Golf Course. I caught them coming out of the Nelson Ag Center with their arms full of wrapped gifts. Yes... in small town Viroqua that is where one shops. LOL they do have a really nice gift department for all those ladies on the farm and for us off the farm townies. As you can see from my photo, my golf cronies do know what to do when it's not golf weather, shop, shop, shop.

Wedding Bells again...Well today we just might get snow flurries as the wind is howling out side and the temperature is dropping. Looks like the season is over at the Viroqua Hills Golf Club. Guess I will put my clubs in the basement until springtime.

golf: No Golf today, have to work - 10/12/08 09:48 AM
Friday I was able to play what might be my last round of golf before the season ends. I have open houses today and won't get much time to golf this afternoon. Our course will pull the pins at the end of the month and close the course until next spring. This is a photo taken on hole number 11 at the men's tee. Hope you enjoy the view!

I better investigate this.... (Bambi is the golf clubs orphan, as sadly her mother was hit by a car on the highway about one month ago. We often see this cute yearling roaming our fairways here at the Virqoua Hills Golf Club.
Maybe I can take a little bite? (As the yearling crossed the 11th fariway, to investigate the ball, I was able to watch from my cart a short distance away. While waiting to take my third fairway shot I was hoping to hit the green.)

Surprise Surprise... we got pictured on the back cover of our River City Realtors newsletter. In the picture was Linda Sherry, her husband, myself and Justin Miller from our local course who filled in for my husband Trent.
Again for the 5th year, we attended our annual Realtors Golf Outing back on July 10th. That particular day it was hot, humid, later it poured rain and there were tornado warnings. It wasn't the greatest day at the course. Good news was Hickory Hills Golf Club gave all in attendance a rain check for a new golf date since the outing had to be canceled by the … (0 comments)
