Residential real estate sales statistics for 2011 in Ankeny, Altoona, Clive, Des Moines, Indianola, Johnston, Pleasant Hill, West Des Moines, Windsor Heights and surrounding areas from the Des Moines Area Association of REALTORS for the period from 02/01/2011 to 02/28/2011 show drops in both unit sales and prices and a hefty increase in days on market.
In February 2011 417 units sold vs. 431 units for February 2010 or a -3.2% drop. This is actually encouraging in a way because last year's results were bolstered by tax credit incentives which have mostly disappeared this year. The fact that sales haven't cratered is probably … (3 comments)
