fliers: Are fliers and postcards a waste of time and money?

Back in the stone age, I was taught that you always put fliers in a flier box outside a listing and some extras inside the house. You should print up extra fliers and passed them out to the neighbors (door knocking). You should also mail out just listed postcards to the neighbors. If you do an open house, you should repeat the process. Many realtors don't do fliers and the postcards. They consider them a waste of time and money. I'm interested in differing opinions. If you don't do fliers and postcards, why don't you do them and what do you do? … (7 comments)
