According to the National Association of Realtors, the median metro home prices have had improved sales and declining inventory. This is great news for those who wish to sell their home. In most markets, the housing supply and demand are starting to finally balance out. Existing home-sales in the south increased 2.1% in the first quarter and are 4.1% higher than the first quarter in 2011. matt sarver: Charlotte area population is growing despite the economy! - 05/03/12 11:58 AM
Charlotte is just a dynamic city that has the low cost of living people are looking for.Retirees are now choosing to come to this area instead of Florida because of everything that is offered here.Even with the unemployment rate, people are still attracted to this region.Charlotte is still the #1 choice for UNC Chapel Hill graduates.Being centrally located, Charlotte is just over an hour to the mountains and less than 4 hours to the beach. With 2 lakes (Lake Wylie and Lake Norman), the U.S. National Whitewater Center, Carowinds and NASCAR, this is the perfect place to call home!To read more

matt sarver: Spring in the Air!!! - 03/14/12 07:48 AM
It's time to get outside and reclaim your yard! Start simply by pulling those pesky weeds, mowing the grass and edging always keeps a yard looking neat and complete. Now visualize how you would want your yard to look and take action. If your yard is on the small side, think vertical. Try selecting taller hedges, trees and fences. But leave some space in between so that you won't feel so closed in. For any sized yard, clustering is very important. Typically it's done in odd numbers, grouping in 3's or 5's. And don't be afraid of texture, color and size.

matt sarver: Charlotte, NC November 2010 Market Report - 11/28/10 02:55 PM
Overall this past year has provided so much needed clarity in the housing market and what is to be expected for the future of home values. The biggest adjustment in buyers and sellers minds is understanding that the Real Estate boom was not normal and the real estate market is correcting itself to where it should have been. Understanding the history of home values and how on average a 3% increase/year was normal and realizing our home is most people’s largest long term investment is a start. Returning to the mindset that we keep and maintain our home, so that one

matt sarver: Guess what Huntersville, NC home for sale I am thinking of? - 01/03/10 07:00 PM
We have all played the game 20 questions! Basically, I am thinking of a home for sale in Huntersville, NC. To find out what home that is you have to either guess or ask me a question and I will respond with a yes or no answer. Ex: Is it larger then a bread box? Obviously my answer would be Yes. The first person to answer it correctly wins! Sorry, no prize, but the pride of being King or Queen of 20 questions, at least for the moment. Ask away!
