Haiku Maui Realtor Caravan followed by a nice lunch compliments of Fidelity Title
Today was the usual Haiku/Paia Realtor caravan covering the north shore of Maui. There were 5 residential listings and 1 vacant land listing to see in Haiku. Prices ranged from $195,000 for the 1.3 acres to $2,900,000 for a beautiful large mansion on 2 acres.
An added bonus was another home on 5 acres in a very desirable neighborhood. The seller only allowed a select group of Maui Realtors to see their property instead of letting all agents come through. It was a very nice cottage and pool house with room for a main house to be built. Afterwards we were treated to a nice lunch at Colleen's in Haiku. Mercy Palmer, MaryJo Cabral and Pam Teal from Fidelity were there to treat us and we all had a good time. Thank you Fidelity!
Our Maui Realtor community is small and friendly and we all know each other and we know the people who work in the title and escrow companies. It's great to live on a small island and have a sense of community in the workplace.

There's something about a blue sky that makes you smile. Maui blue skies!
     
After spending a few days in the cloudy gloomy weather of Vancouver, it was nice to come back to Maui and see bright blue skies and puffy white clouds, and feel the sun on my skin. It's something we take for granted here in Hawaii, and I can really appreciate it now. Please enjoy these sunny skies if you're needing some sunshine in your day.

Chasing the market down with your home pricing
I remember when this Haiku Maui home first came on the market in April 2008, asking $1,295,000. It was unfinished, as the owner had run out of money and abandoned it. The price was totally unrealistic at the time and what a shame they didn't price it accordingly. It might have sold by now if it was listed for $800,000 back then.

Where have I been? Have you missed my daily dose of Maui blogging?
Well you might not have missed my blogging, but I sure have. And I missed the Maui sunshine too.
I am now back from a short family vacation and I'll be in the driver's seat again! So stay tuned and fasten your seat belt, it's going to be a great ride.

Vancouver and Victoria are really nice places to visit, but it's COLD and WET at this time of year. My dad was celebrating his 90th birthday though and it was worth the trip to be there and party with him and his friends. Usually we have his birthday party on Maui and it will be good to get back to that routine again next year!
