If you live on Maui and work in Kahului, you'll know that your lunch choices are pretty limited.  Sure there's plenty of fast food joints, and you can always grab something like sushi or a sandwich at numerous places, but sometimes you want to sit down and have a really hearty meal.  Brigit and Bernard's Garden Cafe in Kahului Maui fills the bill.  Where else can you find an authentic Wiener Schnitzel?!

My little 4 year old JRT got to meet her 3 year old little brother from the same parents.  Here they are meeting for the first time at a Haiku Maui property for sale.  After a few sniffs and growls (on Kona's part) they were off and running and romping through the trails like wild animals.  What a lot of energy these guys burned up in about 20 minutes of frantic exploring.

Haiku Maui HI 96708 Real Estate update - land sales in past 12 months
Looking back 1 year in the Haiku Maui market shows 18 vacant land sales ranging from 1.2 to 14 acres, and sale prices of $260,000 up to $854,000.  Average sale price was $458,194 and median sale price was $397,500.  
With the exception of the 14 acre parcel on Awalau Road that sold for $854,000, the highest prices paid were for oceanfront lots, and a hilltop lot with incredible views, showing that a good ocean view on Maui is going to cost you.  These were the highlights...

Tempe Arizona has a touching annual tribute to the Sept 11 victims that I thought was worth sharing.  What a great way to remember this world-changing event.

655B Kulike Road sold for $226,000 which was way over the asking price of $159,000.  It was a bank owned residential condo that needed a lot of work to make it livable.  Really nice location though.  This one had a feeding frenzy when it hit the market because the area is desirable.  1.3 acres but a lot of it was unusable.
