Haiku Maui - Kalakupua Playground could use your help The well known playground at Giggle Hill, off Kokomo Road, could use some volunteer help to get the playground open again. Bring your tools, ladders, pails, shovels and rakes, and lunch will be provided. Please join the fun on the following Saturdays between 9 am - 1 pm: May 16 May 30 June 20 This is a community work project of the Haiku Community Association, and these workdays are sponsored by: Haleakala Bike Company North Shore Zipline Aloha Aina Center And if you like to eat, you can also benefit the park by (3 comments)

Last week I mentioned this upcoming event in Haiku Maui Hawaii ... the annual Flower Festival.... Haiku Ho'olaulea 2008 - was a resounding success this past weekend. This year the weather cooperated and it was the most beautiful sunny day you could imagine on Maui - so you know it was GREAT! I think the past few years the rain kind of dampened spirits somewhat, but not this year. We actually were up and at the fair just in time to catch the opening blessing, and the booths and vendors were just putting the finishing touches on their displays.
