Today I talked story with someone who called on my post about Maui organic beef (he works at the local community college, the AG department). As my contribution to BLOG ACTION DAY, I'm choosing to write about something close to home. My husband has a lease on some Hawaii State land for grazing purposes, and has a small herd of cattle. He's not going to get rich raising cattle, but it affords us the ability to raise our own organic beef, which is a nice perk. The animals live a low stress life, grazing and sleeping in their own private paradise. They aren't fed any antibiotic laced hi-protein grains to make them gain weight. No poisons are sprayed in the pastures to control weeds. Their (13 comments)
