HAIKU MAUI HAWAII - 96708

The Pauwela Cannery in Haiku is located on West Kuiaha Road, about a mile up from the Hana Highway. It used to be an old pineapple cannery back in the day, when the railroad came up from Kahului. Nowadays the cannery is populated with many smaller shops of the light industrial type. There are surfboard nanufacturers, and new wave artists. Last time I looked, there was: Ace Hardware; Fabricated Marble of Hawaii; Creative Cabinets; DaKine Hawaii; Hawaiian Fish Prints; Timpone Hawaii; Vanover Cabinets; and the Pauwela Cafe, among many other busy shops.
