HAIKU is not just a style of descriptive poetry, it's a country town on Maui, at the corner of Haiku Road and Kokomo Road. Here at the Post office for zip code 96708, you can get personal service, and they'll remember your name. There is a town center (which I will describe in this blog), and a diverse outlying area as well. In the plantation days, this was the center of a thriving pineapple industry, with 2 large pineapple canneries.
