Two hurricanes have come and gone here on Maui and we have been very lucky to have no damages at our home. In each case they downgraded to a Tropical Storm, which is less severe than a hurricane but still comes with some extreme weather.

Getting ready for Hurricane Iselle to hit Hawaii and Maui By now everybody in this country has heard about the double whammy hurricane event looming down on us here in Hawaii. This may be a historical precedent, as they say a hurricane has never had a direct hit on the Big Island, Hawaii. We have been tuning in to local weather reports and the Central Pacific Hurricane Center for updates.
