Christmas in the Country, in which participants follow a mapped route to historic cottages, farms, and stables, has been an annual Island event since 1993. It started as a festive gathering of homespun fun, opportunities to buy handmade gifts, free pony rides from Countryman Stables, and a chance to meet people with ancestors significant to Island history. In 1996, the Studio Tour joined in the fun and since 1998 the expanded tour has included the whole island. This year, six venues will offer a number of unique attractions. ALL MY CHILDREN is the story of Max Poth, the fictional alter-ego of writer/performer Matt Smith.  Matt's first solo show in six years shall be very entertaining.  We've heard Matt as a motivation speaker, and among his screen credits are Outsourced, Spiderman, Sleepless in Seattle, Whiteface, Northern Exposure, Bill Nye the Science Guy, and Almost live! This one man show appears at BPA one night only on Friday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $20 per person, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, or by phone at 206.842.8569. Buckley & Buckley Real Estate, who represents Luxury Homes on Bainbridge Island and nearby areas has had two recent waterfront sales. Kristi Nelson sold a waterfront home on Murden Cove for $1,690,000, the 2nd highest sale so far this year on the Island. Edward Buckley has sold a lovely waterfront home on Shore Dr. in nearby Indianola for $1,045,000.These are two of 4 sales the company has made in 2010 over $950,000.
