I so agree with this.  I think that agents do Open Houses at times because it is a way to show a seller that they are "doing something".  Excellent post.

There are many things you have to know when you decide to sell your home.  Which agent? What kinds of marketing?  What is the job of the listing agent?   How will buyer's agents access your property to show it? Where will you be moving? What if a buyer comes along sooner than you thought do you have contingency plans and a place to go?
