Getting The Contract Done - A Great App! - 11/28/10 07:38 AM
When I was a Broker in the metropolitan area of New York State our real estate contracts were handled by attorney's. We would negotiate the terms of the deal, we would guide the buyer through the inspection process working out all of the issues helping them decide what they would or wouldn't want remedied, renegotiating the contract as needed. When everything was done we would over the the terms of the deal and what had been agreed to to the attorney for the buyer and the attorney for the seller. Expanded IDX Rules from the National Association of REALTORS® - 11/11/10 08:54 AM
The internet is a changing landscape. There is a new policy from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) regarding IDX display. NAR used to be my Association and while I still belong and pay dues I no longer feel that they represent anyone except big business and the large Brokerages. While agents pay dues and enjoy some of the Benefits of belonging to NAR, discounted car rentals for example, the policy decisions are not geared toward the membership at large. NAR does not get involved in local issues except that this new policy is a slap at the smaller agents (10 comments)
