FHA Loan Limits Monroe County FL As of October 1, 2011 the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loan limits for Monroe County have been reduced from $729,750 to $529,000 fo a single family home, $677,200 for a 2 family home, $818,600 for a 3 family home and $1,017,000 for a 4 family family home. HECM mortgages, reverse mortgages for seniors with home equity, will have a new loan limit of $625,500 in Monroe County FL.
Monroe County qualifies for the higher limit because the average sale price is higher in Monroe County than in most of Florida. The standard loan limit (2 comments)
About 1,000 homes in Key West have a transient rental license and can be rented nightly like a hotel room. All of the other homes must be rented for 30 days or more. A tenant or guest can stay for less than 30 days but the rent can not be reduced and another guest or tenant may not occupy the property during the same rental period.
