Kidney Stones - Yuk! - 04/26/11 04:16 PM
Well, I was blessed with a herediatry desease that causes excess calcium to build up and plate itself out on other bones, etc. My dad's plated out on his backbone making it one single inflexible bone now. The typical way is that is plates out as "heel spurs" which are quite painful... or as mine do as "kidney stones" fun isn't in any of the words I might use to describe the pane.
If you have never had one then be glad, I hope you never do. On the other hand if you are like me and manufacture them regularly you … (2 comments)

203k's in Grass Valley area - 04/23/11 11:56 AM
Wow, this area has been heating up with the FHA 203k program, it is interesting to see from 0 for many months then all of a sudden it is like a light went on up there and everyone is asking for them. Good job all. We appreciate it. I think we did one about a year or a little longer ago up there and then nothing for quite a while. Maybe it is due to the new renovation loan professional Sheri, McLaughlin and her teams in that area. I must say if you are going to do a 203k project in … (2 comments)

203k consultants in Charlotte, Gastonia, Spartanburg, and Columbia - 04/09/11 09:25 PM
Well, this morning was beautiful in Harrisburg, NC, we had our crew together for a short two-hour discussion on report writing for the FHA 203k loan program. While we have some of the best consultants in the business working with us nationally we like to periodically churn the brains and keep them up to date with the latest changes in the program and how they can write a better report.
Walter Wilson on our Charlotte, NC team is always a pleasure to have at these meetings. He is one of the most knowledgable home inspectors we have seen in years.

203k is alive and well from Berkeley to Charlotte - 04/03/11 01:06 PM
Yesterday I was invited to join Allen Moore of Mason McDuffie Mortgage in Berkeley for a tour of fixers. We met at one and for the second time in my life I saw a home that is not a likely candadate for the FHA 203k program. It was a very small duplex so right away it needs to be larger for FHA financing. The thing that caught my eye was the 3 x 3 studs on 48" centers and only 3/4" plywood where one side was the inside wall and the other side was the outside wall.
This was likely WWII … (3 comments)
