Hey guys and gals, I'll be visiting Charlotte, Spartanburg, and Columbia through the end of the year. Well, this morning was beautiful in Harrisburg, NC, we had our crew together for a short two-hour discussion on report writing for the FHA 203k loan program. While we have some of the best consultants in the business working with us nationally we like to periodically churn the brains and keep them up to date with the latest changes in the program and how they can write a better report.
Walter Wilson on our Charlotte, NC team is always a pleasure to have at these meetings. He is one of the most knowledgable home inspectors we have seen in years.

The magic of the FHA 203k program is a wonder to see. We have called it "The American Dream Machine" since 1994 when we rented a hall in El Sobrante, CA and provided weekly meetings. This coming Saturday is a Realtor training day and mixer in Stockton, CA with one of our teammate lenders.

203k consultant charlotte: 203k loans are alive and well in Rock Hill SC - 11/11/10 08:16 PM
Rock Hill as well as any other city in South Carolina is finding the FHA 203k loan program and we are seeing more and more asset managers who are willing to take 203k offers on their properties. It is about time. These are quite often full price offers and all cash to seller. Why wouldn't anyone want that?
David Sovde, a 203k consultant in Columbia SC area covers the Rock Hill, has just expanded his services to cover Charlotte NC as well as to the coast including Myrtle Beach and Charleston.

This weekend is a Charlotte weekend lots of draws today. I love these draw inspections. What is a draw inspection?
Once your 203k project gets underway and work begins it won't be very long before your contractor wants to be paid. They just need to put a call in to the consultant who will typically perform the draws on the project. That call will initiate a "draw request" (sample click here).Column 3 is all that your contractor will fill out, don't total it, just indicate the items and amounts you want to be paid for in the column and sign page … (2 comments)

The concept behind the 203k originally was to "Spread the Wealth" there fore you can't be the appraiser and the consulant and the lender, etc.
Taking that a step farther when you put a 203kproject together and are putting the work out to bid... make every attempt to use contractors who are in the neighborhood where the home is or hire from that neighborhood. An investment in a home is a big investment. If you want the neighborhod to thrive you must "support it" by shopping locally for your needs so the money 'turns over' at least three times in that … (0 comments)
