Alexandria Chamber of Commerce Launches Local Buying Program - 02/23/11 10:00 PM
In an announcement that went out on our local list serv yesterday, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is launching a local buying program similar to Groupon.
Called "Try It Local", the program offers savings of 40-90% from retailers, service providers, and restaurants who are members of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.
An email notification goes out each morning with that day's special offer (s) and you have until the end of the day to purchase the coupon.  The length of time available to use the coupon depends on the business offering the discount.

Real estate agents are frequently asked by sellers for "feedback."  Sometimes it's feedback from an open house but more often the seller wants to hear from every agent and client who visits the house.
I have mixed feelings about the logic of this process.  If your house is not what a buyer is looking for then it's not what a buyer is looking for.  Period, end of discussion.
When it goes on the market your house should be sparkling clean, clutter removed, cosmetic changes made, etc. etc.  If a buyer still doesn't like what they see they'll move on and … (5 comments)
