It's rare that my husband and I get an opportunity to go out to dinner in the Manistee area without our kids, but this past Valentine's Day we booked a babysitter, paired up with another couple and headed out for a grown-up meal.When dining out during the off season, when just a few local restaurants are open, the question we ask ourselves is: "Where should we go out to eat in Manistee County?" Roger and Jill Vasquez's 8-month-old son, Noah, is currently undergoing treatments for cancer at DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids. Proceeds from the benefit dinner will go to the Vasquez family for medical and travel expenses.Friends & family have put together a spaghetti dinner, which includes garlic bread, salad & beverages.
