Most businesses and government offices in and around Calcasieu Parish here in Southwest Louisiana are closed for Mardi Gras. The kids are also out of school and it is typically a day of fun festivities and parades. Even though banks were closed here in Lake Charles, banks in general were NOT closed around the country--so when it comes to mortgages, loans were still being reviewed today.

TODAY THE CLOSING I ATTENDED WAS MY OWN! I had a role reversal in my closing today. My "signing capacity was switched" from Realtor to Homeowner as I sat on the other side of the closing table today.
